I start with the image, not the repeat.

A print can begin with a pencil drawing, a painted surface, a photograph, a collage or a handmade technique. I collect, create and manipulate these elements before bringing them into Procreate, Photoshop and Illustrator, where they are layered, transformed and developed into a cohesive print.

The final stage is about translating that artwork into fashion: testing scale, composition and colour, building the repeat until it almost disappears and the print reads as texture, and preparing production-ready files. The digital process becomes a tool for experimentation, expanding what began by hand rather than hiding it.
