María José Bacchi

I started with fashion. Now I build everything around it.

I studied Fashion Design at Universidad de Palermo in Buenos Aires and have worked in fashion since 2018. At Casablanca Polo I spent three years designing all-over and placement prints, embroideries and garment graphics, from hand-painted artwork to production-ready files, working with suppliers in Argentina, China and Portugal.

In 2023 I co-founded Bando, a womenswear brand made from antique and vintage textiles, where I lead creative direction end to end: identity, collections, shoots, content and the online store. Bando is made to order and sells through concept stores including Charco Studio in Barcelona, El Quadrado in Madrid and Avte Bardo online in the US.

In Barcelona I’ve also worked on art direction and AI-driven content for Velas de la Ballena, created the AI-generated brand universe for VAFF, and designed prints for fashion brands as a freelancer.

Today I’m looking to join a creative team in art direction, graphic or print design, where I can bring ideas and make them happen.

How I work

Building Bando taught me to take ownership of every part of a project. Working with others taught me that ownership doesn’t mean doing everything alone. Clear communication, realistic deadlines and work I’m proud to sign.
